%X After annealing in proper conditions, implanted layers of BaTiO3 PTC ceramic by MEVVA ions source with doses ranging from 1 x 1017 to 8 x 1017 Sn / cm2 have sensitizing highly and responding fast to CO gas. PTC BaTiO3 implanted with Sn and its annealing in different conditions have been studied by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The result shows: O ions have only one chemical state in the non-implanted BaTiO3, but have two that after the specimen is implanted; Sn have tWo valence states for the implanted specimen and one for the annealed specimen; The chemical states of Ba, Ti have not changed obviously in the process of implanting and annealing.
