%X The outstanding properties of the structrures of living beings are ensured bybio-materials.It is found that almost all bio-materials are composites,such as bamboo,wood,bone and shell etc.The structures of some ordinary living beings were investigatedand their characteristic structures were found.They are the multi-folded spiral compositestructures which exist on a variety of scales in both plant and animal materials.Accordingto this analysis,a kind of double-folded spiral bionic composite model was given,and forcomparison a non-twisted fibre model was also presented.The double-folded fibre modelwas varified by Carbon Fibre/Sn composites.The experimental results show that the ten-sile strength of this model was 40% higher than that of the non-twisted model.
