%X Interfacial Monitoring System(IMS)established in this paper was used to inves-tigate the relation between the interfacial shear strength and mechanical properties of fiber rein-forced composites.The interfacial shear strength from IMS can be accepted to be a criticalparameter between composites strength and fracture toughness.Therefore,IMS can be used todirect the treatment methods of fiber surface,composites processing and evaluate the interfacialoptimum property so as to meet requirements of different application of composites materials.
