%X In order to prepare thermoplastic starches.water and glycerol were used as plasticizers. and their influences on the processability were studied. As a result. aproposed model of the starch molecular transitions during the extrusion was given.The mechanical properties of these materials with different content of the plasticizers were compared.The aggregate structure of these starches before and after the thermoplastic processing was characterized by DSC and polarrized microscope.
