%X The Three kinds of fibers with 72,80 and 95 wt-% Al_2O_3 wereinvestigated.The composition,structure and rheological property of the solfor spinning physical and chemical changes of the gel fibers in heating processand thermal behaviour of the finished fibers in air and H_2 atmosphere weredetermined.Without essential difference in composition and structure,rheologicalproperty of the sol and thermal behaviour of the gel fibers are similar to eachother.The thermal stability of the polycrystalline fibers differs,perhaps dueto the difference in microstructure.
