A new pressure gradient iteration method is proposed to deal with the problem caused by nonzero normal pressure gradients. On the basis of BOX method, a numerical scheme and corresponding FORTRAN program are developed for solving the three-dimensional boundary layer with rotation. Three kinds of flow fields are calculated-rotating plate, helical blade, and compressor rotor blade. The results are compared with other researcher's calculation and experimental data. The comparison shows that the numerical method and program proposed in this paper are good, and can be used to simulate the three dimensional laminar and turbulent boundary layers on arbitrary objects with or without rotation. Finally, the authors have also investigated the effects of rotation (especially the normal pressure gradients) on boundary layer behavior on a rotating cylinder surface. The results indicate that the rotation effect is very important under certain conditions. %K boundary layer %K pressure gradient %K rotation %K three-dimensional flow
