%X The new idea that completing the tool-path interpolation for sculptured surfaces intersection machining in CNC system is presented and realized in this paper. The geometric path control ability and performance of this CNC system is greatly enhanced. An interpolation algorithm suitable for ball-end cutter and its machining error estimation as well as its stability analysis are given. Theoretical analysis and practice demonstrate that the algorithm possesses high accuracy and small and stable caculating amount.
