%X In this paper a new direct method of generalized predictive adaptive control is suggested. A normalization technique and a parameter estimator with a dead zone are used in the method. Global convergence of the control algorithm is analyzed. Experiments were performed on a pilot system in real time and the results demonstrated the effectiveness of the method.
