何维明 %J 植物生态学报 %D 2002 %I Editorial Office of Chinese Journal of Plant Ecology %X Based on the investigation and related literature, the reproduction and regeneration of Sabina vulgaris populations were examined. 1) Root primordia were the most fundamental structure for vegetative propagation; advantitious roots deriving from root primordia could take in enough soil resources to meet the need of metabolism in sprouting young plants, and the established sprouting young plants could maintain independently. 2) The species simultaneously had vegetative propagation and sexual reproduction, which benefits the species to make better use of advantages of the two types of reproduction, and which provides two means of regeneration to the species. 3) Very poor seed quality, very low seed germination and very low seedling survival were three "bottle-necks" restricting sexual regeneration of S. vulgaris populations. 4) Asexual regeneration of S. vulgaris populations dominated in natural conditions owing to higher capacity to propagate vegetatively, higher survival of sprouting plants, and diverse means to produce vegetative propagator. %K Mu Us Sandland %K Sabina vulgaris %K Vegetative propagation %K Sexual reproduction %K Asexual regeneration %K Sexual regeneration
