%X This paper proposes a new approach to fault detection and location for tyres and springs of a missile transporting vehicle. The time frequency characteristics of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and local maxima of modulus of continuous wavelet transform (CWT) are used, and no model of the monitored object is needed in this method. Experimental results on a model vehicle show that it is sensitive to faults and robust to noise.
