%X Kriging technique is a stochastic approach to interpolating sparse observation records.In this paper,data of 43 Chinese fir provenances from 55 experimental sites are analyzed with the method of Kriging technique.The result shows that the Kriging technique is able to precisely draw out the geographic variation tend law of the DBH growth of Chinese fir provenances.The regression precision was 91 7%.The Kriging technique also was used to predict the DBH of the 10 of the 43 Chinese fir provenances based on the rest 33 Chinese fir provenances observation records.The predicting precision was 95 85%.
