The nature of the community is typical of mixed evergreen-decidu-ous broadleaf forests in mountainous region of midsubtropics. 2. The suitable distributive area of the community is of warm andmoist habitat with abundant rainfall, frequent cloud and fog and less su-nlight. The land form is precipitous with deep cut valleys. 3. The mixed community is rich in species. The complex floristic co-mposition and the presence of abundant ancient remnants, show that thevegetation of this region has the basic features of the China-Japan flora. 4. The natural regeneration of Davidia involucrata community is acco-mplished by seedlings and tillers, which makes the pbytocommunity stea-dier. 5. The community is being severely destroyed, emergency measuresmust be taken to protect them, such as tending of wood and artificial su-pplementary regeneration etc. %K Omei mountain %K The phytocommunity of Davidia involucrata
