彭军 %A 李旭光 %A 董鸣 %A 刘玉成 %J 植物生态学报 %D 2000 %I Editorial Office of Chinese Journal of Plant Ecology %X This paper examines variation in the composition and number of seeds in seed banks at three spatial scales:with depth within samples,between different samples within sites,and along an elevation transect in subtropical ever green broad-leaved forest on Simian Mt.,Chongqing. The study shows that: 1) The number of seed and species decreased with lncreasing elevation. 2) Soil seed banks at low elevation have the highest ecological dominance value but the lowest values of diversity and evenness indices. 3) Seed number decreased with depth within soil samples. 4) The number of both seeds and species in ridge gap samples was the lowest in the study,though these sites also had the low est proportion of damaged seeds and the highest proportion of seed germination. %K Simian Mountain/Chongqing %K Evergreen broad-leaved forest %K Soil seed bank
