%X SDS PAGE and IEF analysis of proteins were conducted in different organs of Momordica charantia L , the results indicated that there were more water soluble protein species than alcohol soluble protein in the same organ within the MW range from 14 4 to 116 kD The electrophoresis profile of alcohol soluble protein species in various organs were different, but at least 5 alcohol soluble protein species were shared by every organ The pI of most of the protein species in various organs were less than 7, and the pH range mainly located from 3 75 to 6 55, only the seeds, fruits and roots exist some basic proteins
