%X Oestrus detection and optimal insemination time of 38 sows were studied using infrared sensors, results showed that the positive detection rate of this system was higher than that of man-watching method, its rate was 84.2%. At the same time, it could decrease the labor input and the cost of production. So, it has great value of extending application .
