%X In this review,we focus on four recent advances in rice genome analysis: an whole genome duplication which is believed to occur in rice genome; evolution of rice genome size; the indica-japonic divergence that was likely to occur later than the previous estimate of 1 million years ago; hypothesis for GC compositional gradients in rice genes.
