%X As the inputs of innovation increase steadily in each province , the outputs don't increase at the same rate . The disparity in innovation efficiency becomes larger . Industry is the linkage between innovation and regional economic growth . Regional industry's type and foundation are the crucial factors which influence the innovational efficiency . Through the empirical studies in china ,we come to the conclusion that ,except in East China ,innovation isn't the factor of regional growth .In Central China ,innovational inputs rise faster than innovational outputs .In West China , the more inputs of innovation , the fewer outputs . In East China , the reason for the high innovation efficiency is that it has many high tech industries ,large-scale FDI and a large variety of different industries .But the international trade and the enterprise size do not improve the innovational efficiency .
