%X In the historical tendency of the combination of the Church with the rich, Clement of Alexanderia (150 -215 AD) tried in his book to reconstruct the Christian spirit and reconcile it with the desire for material possession. The acceptace of his allegorical interpretations by the Church was significant in the development of Christianity.
