%X After the period of the product design based on technology, Industrial Design has reached the commercial design stage that pursuse satisfying people's various requirements. Under the guidance of ecological culture, the Industrial Design of the next century will take ecological design as it's new mode. This paper describes the ideas, methods, principles and bedrocks of the ecological design. New requirements of technology for the ecological design are also discussed.
