%X As a leader among the core of the Party's first generation leadership, during Chinese revolution and construction, Liu Shaoqi integrated the general truth of Marxism with the particular situation in China, for which he accumulated much rich experience and promoted it to a height of philosophical theory.Persisting in the thought of being practical and realistic, he insisted on striving after turth, acting from reality and being alert to opportunism of both leftism and rightism. He enrichend the thought of being practical and realistic. Persisting in dialectics, he insisted on analysing and thinking over problems with the law of opposition and unity. He advanced many creative thoughts on the problem of contradiction in the socialist society and on how to deal with people's internal contradiction properly.Persisting in the Marxist principle of the masses, he expounded its philosophical basis and practical means, thus enriching historical materialism.Liu Shaoqi's philosophy is completely consistent with Mao Zedong thought and at the same time has its own theoretical creation on many aspects. In the current new movement of the whole Party's studying Marxism, Leininism, Mao Zedong thought and especialy Deng Xiaoping theory, it is of great importance to study Liu Shaoqi's philosophy and to inherit this valuable theoretical wealth.
