%X Starting with the introduction of the school of western experimental education and European and American educational experiments into China,this paper expounds the process of the communication of modem western education experimental theories and methods in China, make objective comment on the historic contribution which this process had made towards renovation of traditional education concepts and the advancement of education reform. From the interaction between educational experiments and education modemization in China, this paper also emphasizes that those educational experiments are exotic, so that they should become nationalized gradually in education reform practices. Therefore it is an important task to build theoretical system and research methods of the educational experiments with distinct Chinese characteristics.
