%X The worsening problems of environment of the main stream area,especially the green corridor of Tarim River and the reasons are discussed in this paper.The sustainable developing modes to protect the local eco-environment and improve the economy are advanced.It is pointed out that the local resources,especially the water resources,are rationally and effectively exploited to comprehensively manage the oasis.It is suggested that the relationships between ecological improvement and economy development,between ecological improvement and agricultural structure regulation should be dealt with carefully,and that the scientific approaches of combining the modern technology with traditional style should be taken during the course of sustainable development.
