%X Weed, as a component with negative effects in agroecosystem, has been disturbing human's agricultural production for a long time. Crop interference, defined as the control effects exerted by crop plants to the growth and reproduction of neighbouring weeds, is a fundamental method of nonchemical weed control. The ability of crop interference to weeds could be enhanced by crop breeding and management. The enhancement of crop interference would pay a price in the crop yield. However, in some particular conditions, varieties with strong crop interference have a yield advantage.
