%X The gap dynamics and landscape patterns of forest in the central subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest in Wanmulin Natural Reserve Area of Fujian Province were analyzed with landscape ecological method. The results show that the patch form is more irregular and the patch fragmentation more obvious with the gaps growing, while the patch fractal dimension gradually becomes small. The patch fractal dimension of canopy gaps is smaller than that of the expended gap.
