%X This paper analyses and evaluates the rich natural cold resource in North China and proposes the ways of preserving the natural cold resource in winter for the preservation of fresh agricultural products. The principle,characteristics and the status quo of using the natural cold resource for ice-making to preserve the fresh agricultural products are demonstrated.Possessing the benefits of energy-saving, less investment and high quality, the proposed method is a new way for the preservation of the fresh agricultural products,and has broad prospects of application in North China.
