%X In order to accurately express the effect of soil conditions (including some geographic conditions, such as slope and groundwater) on land potential productivity, soil medification coefficient is suggested in this paper, which is defined as the degree to which the physiological and ecological requirements of crop growth can be satisfied by a certain soil under given climatic and imput level conditions.A calculation model of soil modifying coefficient is also designed and its calculation results correspond well with the judgements of the experts of land evaluation.
