%X The area of the waste hillsides of the hilly region in the middle part of Sichuan Province occupy a considerable proportion of that province. Preventing and curing soil erosion and rationally utilizing the water and soil resources, play an important role in developing the local economy. In this paper, through mesh point observation the reasonable utilization ways are explored. This provides a policy making basis for the development and utilization of the waste hillsides.
