%X By using the relations between mean annual precipitation,mean annual temperature and mean annual runoff established with the climatological and hydrological data of the contemporary time, the values of ancient annual runoff of Holocene in eastern part of the North China Plain are calculated.These approximate values of the palaeorunoff obtained from the calculation are compared with the palaeohydrological information available in the same region. The result indicates that the conclusions are quite similar to those acquired from other methods.
