%X In this paper, the characteristics of the wetland ecosystem of the Poyang Lake national nature reserve are discussed through considerations of the hydrography, soil, biological composition and system function. On the basis of the discussion, the classification and evaluation of the wetland ecosystem are conducted. In the end, four suggestions are made for the future development of the reserve.
