%X his paper studies the species composition and ecological distribution of the ant resourse in Jilin Province.We found that there are 18 species of ants belonging to 10 genera and 2 subfamilies and that the species composition and distribution of ants have close relation to environmental conditions.It also deals with the edible and medical values of ants.In the end,the paper offers some proposals concerning the development and protection of the ant resource.
