%X Great progress has been made in iron nutrient molecular biology. Genes in iron-transport systems have been cloned by differential screening with the use of mutants. The Fe-acquisition-mechanism in yeast, the genes and gene expression under the condition of Fe deficiency stress for plants are summarized in this paper.
