%X The inherent anisotropy and the induced anisotropy are important characters of soil. There are difference and connection between them. They are both related to the structural character of soils,but the mechanism and conditions are different. The most important difference can be observed from the stress-strain matrix,which has much influence on stress-strain relationship of soils. It can be drawn from the results of true triaxial tests that induced anisotropy has much influence on behavior of soils under complex stress conditions,which should be considered in numerical analysis on soils.
