%X The progress of the quantitative reconstruction of palaeoenvironments and palaeoclimates based on plants is introduced in this paper. The methods of climate analysis of endemic species, coexistence approach, leaf physiognomy, stomata parameters and atmospheric CO2 concentration have been applied in the recent researches on palaeoenvironments and palaeoclimates in China.
