%X The basic equations of generalized limit equilibrium method (GLE) are introduced,in which the difference from the classical methods is that the value and direction of interslice force are regarded as unknowns. The Rapid Solver is adopted to solve equations. Through defined function of interslice force angles,GLE can emulate rigorous methods such as Spencer and Morgenstern-Price methods,as well as other simplified methods satisfying force equilibrium,such as the unbalance thrust force method,Corps of Engineers,and Lowe-Karafiath method and etc.. The results show that GLE is a practical method with high precision and has the advantages of simple formulation to program easily.
