%X On the basis of sum m arizing predecessors the research w orks m ade by predecessors, som e new view points aboutdefinition and classification ofsoftrock are presented. The relationship betw een the types ofdeform ation and flow , and the optim ization ofsupport is analyzed in particular. Itis pointed outthatthe supportoptim ization oughtto suitthe types ofdeform ation and flow ofsoftrock, the deform ation energy can notbe fully released, and the destressing supportcan notbe used for alltypes ofsoft rock.
