%X Based on Mindlin's solution of displacement, an elastic solution of stretched bolts is derived. The mechanical characteristics of the stretched bolts are analyzed and a method for calculating support length of stretched bolts is obtained. The effective length of bolt support is calculated for different rocks. Some factors affecting effective length of bolt support are analyzed. A reference principle for design of bolts is provided for projects.
