%X The sonic wave measuring results of high rock slope at the boatlift and temporary shiplock of Three Gorges Project are presented. It is shown that the relaxation depth of rock mass at the slope is varied because of the different controlling factors. The relaxation can be classified as surface relaxation, shallow relaxation and deep relaxation. The average depths are 0.30.5m, 2.03.0m and above 5.0m for the three kinds of relaxation.
