%X The micro-feed cutting processes of granite by PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) tool are observed with polarization microscope. The generation and development of microcracks are studied. By analyzing the effect of mineral properties, grain size, initial microcracks, etc. , on the path of microcrack, it is shown that mineral properties and microstructure of granite dominant the patterns of generation and development of microcracks in the cutting processes of granite when the cut depth is small.
