%X Cementation strength Sc on the shear plane in soil is demonstrated as cohesion c in it. Through evaluation by microscopic experiment data and microscopic method, Sc is 20. 8 kPa. Determined by experiments from soil mechanics, c is 19. 0 kPa. Here Sc is nearly equal to c. Reserch results show that mechanical properties of rock and soil depend on their microscopic properties.
