%X The acoustic emission technique is an effective method to determine in-situstresses, which is mainly applied to vertical wells. A new method is developed todetermine in-situ stresses by using acoustic emission technique of undirected cores ofinclined well. The principal stresses are given by using coordinate system transformationsand solving nonlinear equations. The method is applied successfully in Bobai oil field.
