%X The strata are usually irregularly curved surfaces and can not be expressed mathematically. According to the features of strata and based on the ideas of digital elevation model (DEM),the method of multi-layer DEM is put forward,and the fitting function of strata surface is established. The result of the application shows that the approach here is practicable and effective in 3D stratum modeling. Some visual functions for real 3D strata are implemented,such as rotating,moving,zooming,layer displaying and dividing section freely.
