%X According to the three conditions of formation and sustaining of dissipative structure, the nonlinear characteristics, the state far from equilibrium, and dimension lowing, entropy reducing and ordering in the process of deformation and instability of rock mass, are studied from micro and macro aspects. The relationship between stress strain curve of rock and formation of dissipative structure is discussed. With an example of landslide, the forming process and method of bulding the dissipative structure model are explained.
