%X A method is proposed to define the constitutive model for soil and its parameters. Through the analysis and derivation, it is shown that the linear visco-elastic model, for example, the three-elements model, can be simplified as elastic model with substituting synthetic elastic module corresponding to time for linear elastic module. From this, the calculation model of deformation forecast for foundation pit is set up. According to the analysis with proposed model, the optimum design for retaining plan and measures for the environmental protection around foundation pit are obtained.
