%X With the analysis method of rainfall infiltration used for reference,a mathematical model for the analysis on atomized rain infiltration is established and a finite element program,SUSS3D is worked out. Based on the model experiment results of atomized rain infiltration and the possible efficacy of face protection measures of bank slope,12 kinds of analysis cases are drafted. Under these cases,numerical analysis on atomized rain infiltration of cushion pool slope in Xiluodu project is conducted by using the program SUSS3D. The results show that the atomized rain infiltration will produce temporary saturated region that is harmful to slope stability and lift the groundwater level. The size of temporary saturated region and the increment of groundwater level are sensitive to the efficacy of face protection measures,and the control of atomized rain infiltration should be paid great attention to.
