%X The failures of rock mass bedding slopes mainly display the buckling and the shearing slip. The upper bound for buckling failure of bedding slope is derived in the form of displacement by researching buckling deformation factors. According to the mechanism of progressive failure for rock mass bedding slope, the ultimate length of the slope failures with shearing slip is derived in different cases. The displacement criteria of rock structure stability are given for bedding rock slope.
