%X Based on the microscopic behavior and model for the synthetical goethite lateritic soils, the theoretic cohesion for Guizhou lateristic soils cemented by natural goethite is calculated. A predicted average cohesion agrees well with testing data obtained from currently available procedures. The microscopic essence for cohesion of natural cemented soils is brought to light.
