%X Soil organic carbon can reflect soil quality and soil health, and is one of the hotspots in related researches at home and abroad. This paper reviewed the research results on the fractionation of soil organic carbon, with the focus on the dynamics of soil organic carbon and its fractions in their decomposition, accumulation, content, storage, and allocation proportion under different land use type and management pattern. Some related issues and further research directions were discussed.
