%X In remote sensing, it is necessary to correct the images for distortions due to Earth shape, Earth rotation, variations in satellite orbit and satellite attitude. In this paper, we analyze the effect of attitude deviation on the transverse proportion distortion and the portrait squirm distortion of AVHRR image, and point out that the rolling of satellite can bring image transverse proportion distortion just like the Earth shape's performance. We also develop a corresponding correction model.
