%X The spatial database of the urban resources and environment information system was established in the central area of Guiyang city.The urban resources and environment are assessed comprehensively and the information is provided for the city planning and management by the means of the technology of remote sensing and geographic information system. The PAMAP GIS is the main tool to design and establish the spatial database.The remote sensed data is the main information to enrich and renew the database during collecting the data.The database comprises two parts:the first one is fundamental geographic database including the digital elevation model and the basic geographic maps;the second one is the resources and environment database including the thematic maps.
