%X The basic technologies of semantic Web and its hierarchy model are studied in this paper. The author proposes a new digital library framework based on the semantic Web, and illustrates the system infrastructure. The paper also discusses the related technologies for realizing the system. Based on the semantic Web and ontology, this model expands the traditional retrieval schema from keyword - based to semantic-based.
